Tips to Consider when Planning for a Party in a Hotel

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

When you are selecting to throw a party for your friends or relatives or colleagues, it is better to select some finest class hotels after considering some important factors. Hotels now days come up with plenty of offer packages with which it is better to shift your personal parties to hotels. The following things should be noticed while throwing a hotel party event.

1.      For party events, select a hotel that can best match your party’s theme. The hotels can provide service according to the cause of the party, such as birthday, anniversaries, official promotions etc.

2.      Have a visit to the hotel well before the party event. Make sure of your banquet halls. Communicate your requirements regarding, seating, timings, budget, food and beverage requirements, date, number of packs and other arrangements to the hotel authorities.

3.      Menu is one another important factor. Decide your food menu and beverage menu separately. Consult the hotel, possibly the chef to discuss your food requirements. Take care of the portions. Make sure about the number of vegetarians, non-vegetarians, alcohol consumers, smokers etc.

4.      Confirm with the hotel authorities about any clarifications or queries.

5.      Make sure that the hotel staffs are aware of welcoming your guests properly.

6.      Make sure of the other requirements of your guests at hotel, like car parking facilities, washrooms etc

7.      Inform the hotel people about any kind of special attention guests, senior citizens, specially invited guests etc for providing excellent service.

8.      Discuss and decide on the price and payment options well in advance with the hotel management.

9.      Inform all guests clearly about the hotel, venue, time of the event etc.

Last but not the least, be prepared yourself very well to talk and mingle with all the invited guests on the occasion of the event and get yourself familiarized with the plans, hotel facilities and the whole atmosphere. The event can be an unforgettable one, if you can put some time into planning your thoughts.

I have been in the hotel and event planning industries for 10 years and still loving it! This is the main reason why I created meetings-hotels.com to provide a one stop place for meeting and event planner free tools.
